Upcoming Events

Join us for the baptism of Mateo McArthur and Johanni Garcias on Sunday, April 27th at 1:00 PM. We are excited to celebrate this spiritual milestone with our community! The baptism service will be at the pool at 1485 Fifth Avenue.

Andrew Laro (who helps with Metro’s communications and administration) will be offering a free child sexual abuse prevention workshop for us! This workshop is designed specifically for churches. Many church child sexual abuse trainings focus on dos and don’ts and can be fear-based. However, this workshop focuses on how a church’s values and norms can prevent abuse through a lens of love and trust rather than fear. This workshop is not just for children’s volunteers, but for all members of the church – because every member of the community has a role to play in keeping children safe!

This workshop will be offered on Tuesday, April 29th at 8 PM, via Zoom. RSVP is not required to attend, but having a headcount would be very helpful. Folks who sign up will also receive a reminder email with the Zoom link.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Andrew.

Please join us as we learn to create a safe church community for all!
